Digital Health and Discovery Platform Co-Lead Management Change

Vancouver and Montreal --- Imagia Canexia Health, a Montreal and Vancouver genomics-based cancer treatment testing company, and the Vancouver-headquartered Terry Fox Research Institute, co-leads of the Digital Health and Discovery Platform (DHDP), today announced a management change for the network. After co-leading this digital health initiative together since 2019, Imagia will be stepping back from the DHDP, with the Terry Fox Research Institute continuing on as lead of this pan-Canadian program. The DHDP brings together health researchers, data scientists, as well as industry partners to accelerate scientific innovation and technology development in Canada.

In February 2022, Imagia merged with Canexia Health to become Imagia Canexia Health. This combined Imagia’s AI expertise with advanced genomics, oncology, and informatics to enable health systems to deliver precision cancer treatments to patients no matter where they live. While this new enterprise’s mission still supports cancer patients, they will renew their focus within their company.

“Co-leading the DHDP initiative to bring better cancer treatment across Canada was a benchmark initiative for Imagia,” said Shelley Epstein, Executive Vice President, Corporate and Public Affairs at Imagia Canexia Health and former Imagia VP. “As we part ways, our company takes great pride in knowing that the DHDP vision will continue under the leadership of the Terry Fox Research Institute.”

“TFRI remains committed to the DHDP and wishes Imagia Canexia Health success as they embark on their new enterprise,” said Jim Woodgett, President and Scientific Director, TFRI.
