
BC Cancer supports ground-breaking cancer research and personalized care approaches through world-class facilities and platforms including genomics, bioinformatics, imaging, drug development and tissue banking. Consisting of 10 departments with distinct cancer research expertise, the BC Cancer Research Institute strives to improve the lives of patients through the integration of basic biomedical research, genomics, clinical trials, health services research, cancer surveillance, population health, and the development of innovative new technology, programs, and interventions. Through participation in the Marathon of Hope Cancer Centres Network, BC Cancer will share data and new technologies by collaborating with other MOHCCN-designated sites across the country, with the goal of improving access to cutting-edge precision oncology studies in order to enhance their impact on cancer care and clinical practice.
