Understanding policies and principles regarding project selection

Eligible Project Selection

Our project selection strategy will encourage development and use of the DHDP through periodic calls for project proposals.

The Eligible Project Selection Strategy is designed to define the scope of collaborative R&D opportunities for which periodic requests for applications (RFAs) can be issued. The focus will be on developing project selection criteria and an assessment guide that will be used in the RFA process. Project selection criteria will consider technological advancement and benefits to the Health and Digital technologies across Canada and the potential to stimulate commercialization. Overall, the strategy developed will ensure a process that is fair, equitable, inclusive, transparent and supports projects of significant economic, innovation, scientific merit, and potential health & social benefits. This strategy will also seek to identify other funding opportunities and approaches to increase the scope and funding of science projects.
